Role Overview
The Principal AI-Enabled Software Engineer (Principal Embedded Ai Engineer) leads software engineering teams in strengthening the DLP and adopting AI-enabled development practices at scale. This role defines standards for AI-assisted development and architects solutions that combine emerging AI capabilities with proven software engineering principles.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with deep software engineering expertise, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, and a proven ability to guide enterprise clients through technology transformation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams in AI-assisted development practices and tools
  • Define and establish standards, code quality guidelines, and security practices for AI-integrated workflows
  • Architect software solutions that effectively integrate AI capabilities with existing systems
  • Drive adoption of AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) and measure productivity impact
  • Collaborate with AI specialists and architects to identify integration opportunities
  • Guide enterprise clients through AI-enabled development transformation
  • Contribute to practice thought leadership on AI engineering
Requirements
  • Proven track record leading software engineering teams and delivering complex systems
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude)
  • Strong judgment on when and how to effectively apply AI in development workflows
  • Experience measuring and optimizing developer productivity
  • Backend proficiency: .NET and one additional modern stack
  • Frontend proficiency: React, Angular, or equivalent
  • Data architecture knowledge across SQL, document, graph, and data warehouse options with demonstrated depth in at least two
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, IaC, and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Strong unit testing discipline and test-first approach
  • Deep expertise in modern software architecture patterns
  • Consulting or professional services background
  • Excellent communication and technical leadership abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
