This is an onsite position in Austin, TX.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to support large-scale infrastructure operations within a mission-critical data center environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware, data center operations, rack and stack activities, hardware troubleshooting, break/fix support, and infrastructure documentation.

The candidate will also be responsible for supporting data center power and cooling infrastructure and developing scripting or automation solutions using Python or Bash.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, install, configure, and decommission servers and network equipment.

• Perform rack and stack activities within enterprise data center environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve server hardware and infrastructure issues.

• Perform break/fix remediation and hardware replacement activities.

• Support data center power distribution and cooling infrastructure.

• Maintain accurate asset inventories and infrastructure documentation.

• Create, maintain, and update SOPs, MOPs, and operational procedures.

• Manage service tickets, incidents, and change requests.

• Develop scripting and automation solutions using Python or Bash.

• Support bare-metal server deployments and enterprise server infrastructure.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to maintain reliable data center operations.

• Follow established operational, security, and change management procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise data center environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware.

• Proven experience with hardware troubleshooting and break/fix operations.

• Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Understanding of data center power distribution and cooling infrastructure.

• Experience with asset management and inventory tracking.

• Experience with Python or Bash scripting.

• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

• Experience working with tickets, incidents, and change requests in an enterprise environment.

• Ability to work onsite in a mission-critical data center environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience working with APIs and Jira automation.

• Hands-on experience managing bare-metal servers.

• Experience with enterprise server architecture and infrastructure.

• Experience developing automation solutions for data center operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Data Center Engineer with strong enterprise infrastructure experience who can independently perform server deployment, rack and stack, hardware troubleshooting, break/fix remediation, and data center operational support. Candidates with experience in automation using Python or Bash and exposure to enterprise server architecture, power/cooling systems, and asset management are strongly preferred.
