Bain Capital Ventures is the venture and growth equity affiliate of Bain Capital, and we invest in enterprise-focused technologies and healthcare companies across varied stages, sectors and geographies.
Potential investment sizes range from $1 million seed rounds to $100 million growth equity checks. The Finance Co-op will partner closely with senior Finance professionals to help execute multiple aspects of operations for this business. Key tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assistance in administration of 12 limited partnerships:
Accounting (US GAAP, Tax Basis)
Operations (Capital Calls, Cash Distributions)
Understanding and documenting investment transactions
Work with the Finance Team on projects to enhance the product of the department and firm
Perform ad hoc projects using Microsoft Office programs and other proprietary systems utilized by Bain Capital Ventures
Exercise and develop client service orientation through interactions with the Finance team and members of the investment team
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Progress towards completion of a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.5
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize projects from multiple team members
Creative problem-solving ability and sound judgment
Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels
DESIRED BACKGROUND/EDUCATION
·Candidate for bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Compensation:
Expected Hourly Rate of Pay $24.00 – $26.00
Actual hourly rate of pay will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
