Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with approximately 5 years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV to support automation maintenance and engineering activities at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Portsmouth, NH.

The internal engineering team is currently focused on a large-scale project, and the maintenance side of the automation team requires additional engineering support. The ideal candidate will have strong DeltaV experience and the ability to support system updates, retooling, and integration of new skidded equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day automation engineering and maintenance activities within the manufacturing environment.
• Perform updates, modifications, and retooling of existing DeltaV automation systems.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new skidded equipment into existing automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues to maintain reliable manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Assist with system configuration, modifications, testing, and implementation of automation changes.
• Support documentation and change-control activities associated with automation system updates.
• Ensure automation changes are implemented in accordance with applicable site procedures and quality requirements.
• Support automation-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of experience working with Emerson DeltaV.
• Hands-on experience supporting automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with DeltaV system updates, modifications, configuration, or retooling.
• Experience supporting the integration or onboarding of skidded equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
