The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a Civil Engineer, Wastewater to join a national design-build engineering firm with locations across the U.S. that is expanding in the industrial wastewater market. Partnering with leaders in the Gainesville office, the Civil Engineer, Wastewater will guide wastewater projects and provide broader civil engineering support, planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of structures and facilities such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, and water and sewer systems. It is a full-time, on-site position in Gainesville, Georgia, with relocation assistance available.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, and specifications that show how equipment, components, and structures should be fabricated, built, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
  • Break down information and data to uncover underlying principles, causes, and facts.
  • Create conceptual layouts and cost studies.
  • Analyze information and weigh results to select the best solutions.
  • Review and critique proposals, plans, and designs for water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Collaborate with the discipline lead engineer to identify project scope changes.
  • Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, and verify data.
  • Assess technical data to determine its impact on designs and plans.
  • Lead feasibility studies for facilities such as water supply systems, runoff collection networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, and wastewater collection systems.
  • Win new projects as a proven closer.
  • Model the firm's core values, purpose, and vision, promote professional conduct, and engage in industry, client, and community activities that strengthen the company's reputation.
  • Visit construction sites periodically to collect project data, flex to non-traditional hours when projects require it, and take very limited short trips (about 2 days) for site reviews.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering
  • 15+ years of Civil-Site Engineering experience
  • Required Wastewater Project Management experience, ideally on Design-Build wastewater projects
  • Working knowledge of Stormwater Analysis Software (SSA, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and/or ICPR), including running models and interpreting results
  • Ability to read and apply local and state Land Development Codes
  • Professional Engineer licensure in Georgia and South Carolina, or the ability to obtain it easily
  • Readiness for executive-level responsibility
  • Strengths in Team Collaboration, on-time and on-budget delivery, Quality Control, Communication, Customer Satisfaction, flexibility, and ongoing professional development
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Compensation & Total Rewards
