The impact you will make:

Working within our Digital and Infrastructure team you will play a pivotal role in enabling world class clinical research across Deakin. You'll help shape the digital uplift of clinical research at Deakin by driving the solutions, systems and resources that underpin high quality clinical trials. Working with researchers and key stakeholders, you'll enable innovative, compliant and efficient research that delivers real world health outcomes and strengthens Deakin's strategic goals.

As a Senior Digital Specialist, you will:
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and services including REDCap system administration and continuous platform enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Digital and Infrastructure Services to identify, scope and implement new technology solutions for compliant clinical trial data management and reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders across faculties, digital services, governance, and healthcare to support high quality research and clinical trials.
  • Ensure clinical trial systems, resources, practices and frameworks align with national health priorities, regulatory requirements and the University's strategic objectives.
To be successful, you'll have:
  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and inform decision making.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements relevant to clinical trials, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), TGA guidelines, and university research compliance frameworks
  • Experience driving the adoption and effective use of digital tools and platforms within clinical trial research environments, including stakeholder engagement, process optimisation and user capability development
  • Understanding of the integration and data flows between clinical trial systems, research management platforms and enterprise applications to support efficient, compliant and high quality research operations
  • Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design and optimise digital solutions
  • Proven project management experience, including planning, delivery and risk management.
