Job Description

Title: Systems Engineer 5 Location: El Segundo, CA Salary Range: $100 - $110/hr. on W2 Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Introduction Join the Defense, Space & Security sector as a Senior DSP Systems Engineer to design and develop cutting-edge, space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs. Be part of a dynamic team working with domestic and international customers on the latest satellite systems. Your role will span the unit life cycle, from concept studies and system definition to satellite unit development and testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 6 years of experience with signal processing or image processing.
  • 10 years of experience with electronic systems engineering.
  • Prior work experience in the industry. Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in signal processing or algorithm development.
  • Experience with development of algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs.
  • Experience with Simulink, Python, C, or other programming languages. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Design and develop next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
  • Develop and verify multi-rate fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.
  • Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models and execute payload subsystem trade studies.
