AWS Cloud Architect
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect for a 2-3 month engagement. This role will support procurement and finance transformation initiatives by translating business requirements into technical solution designs, architecture documentation, and integration strategies within AWS environments. The position focuses on high-level architecture and stakeholder collaboration rather than hands-on cloud engineering or security operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Review business requirements to create technical solution designs and architecture documentation.
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions based on Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Develop architecture diagrams, integration patterns, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
• Support procurement and finance-related initiatives, including ERP transformation efforts.
• Ensure proposed solutions address security, compliance, and data management requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of solution architecture experience in enterprise environments.
• A strong understanding of AWS services and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical architectures.
• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based solution design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Coupa, procurement systems, or procurement transformation programs.
• Experience with Oracle ERP or finance transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with chart of accounts, financial systems, or ERP integrations.
• AWS certifications are preferred.
