Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses, develop system security documentation, and provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support.
• Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications.
• Support the generation of technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle.
• Contribute to the framework used across multiple products or systems to influence the shaping of future products.
• Design, implement, and deploy the next generation of Strategic Weapon Systems using cutting-edge MBSE methodologies and digital engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet functional requirements and standards.
• Leverage MBSE models for effective communication of complex system designs and support requirements management and architectural frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including industry-leading tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Ability to develop and maintain SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams.
• Experience applying MBSE to architect complex systems, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and standards with an MBSE-first mindset.
• Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next Generation) and their integration with system models.
• Experience working within DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks to support digital engineering initiatives.
• Creative thinker capable of leveraging MBSE models for communication and managing complex responsibilities.
• Team-oriented, collaborative mindset, and proactive in championing MBSE adoption.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in MBSE practices and digital engineering.
