Job Description

Role:Sr Lead Engineer - II_Data Governance

As a Data Governance , Responsible for managing the end-to-end stakeholder process for creating and maintaining purpose-based roles in Snowflake, ensuring data access is appropriately scoped, governed, and validated.


Responsibilities: -

  • Stakeholder Requirements Gathering Engage with business stakeholders to understand their data access needs Document intended use cases and identify the specific data required.
  • Role Assessment & Design Evaluate existing Snowflake roles for suitability against business requirements.
  • Determine whether to leverage, modify, or create a new purpose-based role Ensure roles align with data governance and least-privilege principles.
  • Role Implementation Adjust existing roles or build new ones based on assessment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure proper configuration and compliance Testing & Validation.
  • Conduct thorough testing of new or updated roles.
  • Verify access permissions meet business needs without exceeding defined scope Confirm roles function as intended before deployment

Experience: - Min 8-12 Years

Location: - USA Remote

Educational Qualifications: -

  • Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.

Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Skills: -

Mandatory skills

Experience with Snowflake role-based access control (RBAC).

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Familiarity with data governance principles.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail
