Software Engineer III

RESPONSIBILITIES

A client with Kforce is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their team in Mountain View, CA. We are looking for a proactive Engineer who is a self-starter - able to quickly read/digest documentation and design; Leverage resources to find answers/solutions and proactively communicate statblockers in a clear manner.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, test automation, documentation and integration of the next generation Enterprise Identity Provisioning system in the cloud
• Contribute to changes to existing Identity Management components as needed to enable migration from current on-prem solution to next gen in the cloud
• Gather functional requirements, develop technical specifications, and perform project and test planning; Roughly 80% hands-on coding (new code, modifying existing code, testing automation)
• Design/develop/maintain backend software - includes enhancements, bug fixes and PoCs
• Implement a full SDLC lifecycle including CI/CD in the cloud
• Participate as part of an agile development team Work cross-functionally with various teams: product management, various product lines, and business units
• Communicate, document, and distill technical information to team members and partner organizations

REQUIREMENTS

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years building and consuming web APIs (REST, and ideally gRPC and/or GraphQL) and designing service interfaces
• Experience with automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD), and with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong back-end expertise in Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot (or comparable modern frameworks)
• Strong front-end expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (or a comparable modern framework)
• Deep command of the full software development lifecycle and the software design and architecture process
• There is a strong preference for the candidate to be located in MTV or SDG, to go into the office in a hybrid format; However, will consider 100% remote

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
