GIS Project Manager

Qualifications and education
Relevant degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, information systems, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered where appropriate.
Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical activities and communicate effectively with both operational stakeholders and technical personnel.
Knowledge of GIS project delivery, quality management, risk control, technical documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Relevant experience
Minimum five years of similar professional experience, as required for the proposed key personnel.
Demonstrated experience coordinating GIS projects, geospatial consulting assignments, technical implementations, or related delivery activities.
Experience managing requirements, schedules, deliverables, technical reviews, stakeholder communications, and issue resolution.
Municipal government, Public Works, infrastructure, utilities, or asset-management GIS experience is preferred.

Technical expertise
GIS project planning; ArcGIS environment awareness; requirements and acceptance traceability; solution planning; technical coordination; data governance; quality assurance; risk and dependency management; status reporting; and technical documentation.

Certifications
Relevant GIS, project management, or technical certifications, if held. PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
