Job Description
Job Title: Senior Enterprise Architect & Application Portfolio Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a data-driven Senior Business Architect to lead the day-to-day execution of our Application Portfolio Management (APM) and Rationalization initiatives. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive enterprise application inventory, conducting technical health assessments, and driving the strategic rationalization of software assets. You will act as a bridge between IT Software Asset Management (SAM), Procurement, and Business leadership to identify redundancies, optimize costs, and align technology investments with business capabilities. The ideal candidate is an expert in managing complex metadata within EA platforms and can translate portfolio data into actionable executive insights.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Governance: Build and continuously update the centralized application inventory within the Enterprise Architecture (EA) platform.
Data Normalization: Lead de-duplication and normalization processes to ensure a "single source of truth" for consistent and accurate application metadata.
Capability Modeling: Develop advanced business capability models to align software applications with specific business functions and strategic goals.
Health & Fit Assessments: Execute business-fit and technical-health surveys. Analyze results to identify functional overlaps, technical debt, and opportunities for consolidation.
Rationalization Strategy: Proactively drive rationalization outcomes to reduce portfolio complexity and realize cost savings.
Executive Visualization: Create custom Power BI dashboards to track rationalization metrics, financial forecasts, and overall portfolio insights.
Stakeholder Facilitation: Utilize SharePoint and other collaboration tools to manage stakeholder engagement across IT, Finance, and Business units.
Process Automation: Leverage workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate or Flow Designer) to orchestrate and streamline portfolio management processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Mastery:
Advanced experience in Enterprise Architecture (EA) Platform Administration (specifically Orbus Infinity / iServer or equivalent).
Expert knowledge of metamodel administration, object/attribute configuration, and relationship mapping.
Data & Analytics:
Proficiency in Power BI for custom report generation and dashboard design.
Strong problem-solving skills with an obsession for data integrity and consistency.
Ecosystem Familiarity:
Familiarity with ServiceNow (specifically extracting contract, usage, and license data).
Proficiency in SharePoint content and workflow development.
Professional Skills:
Exceptional stakeholder communication and requirements-gathering skills.
Experience in a highly collaborative, matrixed corporate environment. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans
