Homebound is on a mission to make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to build a home using technology. Created by an experienced team of construction, real estate, design, and technology experts, Homebound is transforming the residential construction industry by improving the costly and inefficient process of building a home.

We’ve created an entirely new way to build homes with technology powering every stage from start to finish to provide a seamless experience for our customers. Homeowners across the country can choose where they want to live, select a home plan that’s perfect for them, then personalize and buy it, all online. Homebound has raised $150M in capital from leading venture capitalists like Google, Khosla, Thrive Ventures, and we’re scaling quickly in places like Texas, Colorado and Florida. Come build your future with us.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Construction Coordinator to assist project management and field teams in coordinating residential construction project activities throughout the LA marketplace.

The Construction Coordinator will be a key team support member responsible for coordinating ongoing activities on multiple, simultaneous residential construction projects throughout both Altadena and the Pallisades. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities and skills to prioritize activities to complete tasks effectively.

This is an opportunity to help drive our Los Angeles wildfire rebuild efforts and provide essential housing solutions to support the community's recovery from the Altadena and Palisades fires earlier this year.

Homebound has a proven track record of successfully helping to rebuild communities after natural disasters, having supported recovery efforts in six disaster affected markets to date including; Fort Myers, FL, Santa Rosa, CA, and the Bahamas. We hope to bring that experience to Los Angeles to help rebuild lives and homes in the wake of these devastating wildfires.

Candidates must be based in Los Angeles, CA to be considered for this role.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the construction operations department with scheduling meetings, creating meeting notes, and performing other admin functions.

  • Provide admin and project document support to field superintendents and projects managers.

  • Provide project accounting support to obtain lien releases and process invoices.

  • Monitor and update company systems and online tools for tracking progress.

  • Work closely with field staff to maintain job-site cleanliness through our vendors.

  • Provide scheduling support for Homebound’s pre-construction process (scheduling demolition of homes, chemical injections and testing of soil conditions, ensuring utilities are disconnected, meeting grade crew, conducting lot checklist for the Lot Acquisition team, etc.).

  • Assist in submitting project documents for permit approval.

  • Coordinate with the city planning department to set up utilities for homes under construction.

  • May assist with warranty tickets for the market, perform home owner orientations, assist with punch list completion and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in the construction industry (e.g., plumber, framer, sheetrock installer, customer service representative, project coordinator, design center representative, realtor, and/or project engineer).

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for basic data entry and tracking.

  • Experience with Procore preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents

  • Experience working with city officials is preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Construction Certification (OSHA, LEAD, etc.) preferred

  • Experience operating small tools and equipment.

  • Ability to unload job-site deliveries (up to 40 lbs).

  • Experience operating a skid loader or excavator is a plus.

Our Commitment:

We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you’re excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply. To apply, please submit an application with your resume on the Career’s page.
