Help shape English language learning for millions of learners worldwide. You'll lead the design, research and pedagogical quality of ELT learning and assessment products, digital and print, for Young Learners and Adult Learners (Work and Higher Education).

This is a hands-on product role. You'll develop and evolve programmes for global markets, work with subject matter experts and content creators, and make sure what we publish is pedagogically sound, commercially relevant and delivers reliable learning outcomes. You'll also review third-party products for licensing or adoption, and use learner data and market feedback to keep improving what we offer.

What you'll do

  • Lead the design and development of ELT courses and assessments that are innovative, high quality and built for global markets
  • Brief and direct subject matter experts and content creation teams
  • Apply quality assurance frameworks and compliance standards, including accessibility, EDI, safeguarding and AI policy
  • Evaluate products, run pilots and user testing, and use data to drive continuous improvement
  • Work with Product, Marketing, Research & Impact and Content teams to align products with customer and market needs
  • Share expertise on pedagogical design and product effectiveness with internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience developing major ELT programmes used in global markets, ideally for young learners
  • A strong portfolio of titles or programmes you have developed
  • Experience at a major ELT publisher or a large language school chain
  • A teaching background and a higher qualification in ELT, assessment or applied linguistics (DELTA, Dip TESOL, Masters or PhD)
  • Experience of digital product development, and of working with pilot and test data
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders in a global business
  • Full-time UK or Poland resident with unlimited right to work (no visa sponsorship available)

Nice to have: Agile product development, accessibility and EDI knowledge, and a specialism such as AI or young learners.

What you get

  • 39 days annual leave
  • Defined benefit pension (around 20%+ employer contribution)
  • Hybrid working, 2 to 3 days a week from the Stratford office in East London
  • Flexible working and wellbeing support, enhanced family-friendly benefits, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and Employee Assistance Programme
