Job description

About 10a Labs: 10a Labs is the safety and threat-intelligence layer trusted by frontier AI labs, AI unicorns, Fortune 10 companies, and leading global technology platforms. Our adversarial red teaming, model evaluations, and intelligence collection enable engineering, safety, and security teams to stay ahead of evolving threats and deploy AI systems safely.

About the role

You’ll review and label content and flag imminent-risk cases for escalation, working as part of a small crew so you’re never reviewing this content alone.

Schedule

This is an evening role: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM ET, five days a week. Crews work either Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, so every schedule includes one weekend day.

What you'll do

  • Review and label content, and flag imminent-risk cases for escalation
  • Apply policy consistently and document your decisions clearly
  • Bring edge cases to the senior specialist on your shift on weekdays, or to the client’s designated contact on weekends
  • Take part in quality reviews and calibration, and apply feedback
  • Hand off clearly to the next shift

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years reviewing violent content, credible threats, or violent extremist material in a Trust & Safety, content moderation, or investigative context
  • Comfortable reviewing distressing material on a regular basis
  • Sound judgment and consistency, including on ambiguous cases
  • Clear, concise written communication
  • Able to commit to a fixed evening schedule that includes one weekend day

Nice to have

  • Training in crisis intervention or threat assessment
  • Background in emergency dispatch, crisis lines, or law enforcement

Content and wellness

This role involves regular exposure to graphic and distressing content, including threats of violence and violent extremism. We take wellbeing seriously and provide dedicated mental health support and wellness resources.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual) based in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Reliable internet and a quiet, private workspace suitable for reviewing sensitive content

Employment and compensation

  • This is a full-time, 12-month role supporting a client engagement, with the possibility of extension.
  • Work Environment: Fully remote, U.S.-based
  • Salary: 100,000 - 112,500 depending on experience and location
  • Time Off: Generous PTO
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan
