What would you do?

Role : Product Analyst

Location: McLean, VA (5 Days Onsite)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Product Analyst with strong Capital Markets and Financial Services or Mortgage domain expertise to support the delivery and evolution of data-intensive products and platforms. This role sits at the intersection of business, systems, and data partnering with Product Managers, Engineering, Data Engineering, QA, and Operations to define requirements, drive integration, and testing, improve data quality and governance, and enable reliable reporting and decision support across domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Product & Business Analysis:

  • Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business objectives into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead workshops for business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping across front-to-back Capital Markets workflows.
  • Define end-to-end functional and data requirements for platform enhancements, integrations, and reporting capabilities.

Data, Reporting & Decision Support:

  • Support enterprise data engineering initiatives including data integration, reporting, and decision support solutions.
  • Contribute to data warehouse/ETL requirements, data modeling concepts, and profiling activities to ensure fit-for-purpose datasets.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and BI/reporting teams to validate metrics, definitions, and reporting outputs.

Data Governance, Quality & Controls:

  • Drive data governance and stewardship practices including lineage, MDM alignment, and data quality standards.
  • Define and execute data validation, reconciliation, and data quality controls.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy requirements and internal data management policies.

Systems Integration & APIs:

  • Analyze system-to-system data exchange and API integrations, document interfaces, mappings, and transformation rules.
  • Use tools such as Postman to validate API behavior and support integration troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with upstream/downstream application teams to resolve data and interface issues.

Delivery, Testing & Production Support:

  • Support Agile delivery (Scrum) through backlog refinement, sprint planning, dependency management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Define UAT strategy and support QA planning, including test scenarios, test data needs, and traceability to requirements.
  • Participate in end-to-end system integration testing and provide production support, triage, and root-cause analysis.

Operational Excellence & Automation:

      • Identify opportunities for AI-powered automation, analytics enablement, and productivity optimization across product operations.
      • Apply Lean / Six Sigma principles to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance delivery outcomes.
