Business Development Manager – 3PL Freight Brokerage
Atlanta, GA
$70,000 – $90,000 base + uncapped commission
An established and growing 3PL freight brokerage is hiring a Business Development Manager for its Atlanta office. Your job is to win new shipper accounts and build a profitable book of business. This is a hunter role with real earning potential. The company already has the carrier network, operations team, and technology in place. Your focus is opening doors, building relationships with shippers, and turning first loads into long-term accounts.

The role
Prospect and win new shipper accounts across FTL, LTL, and wider 3PL services
Build your pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, and your existing network
Own the full sales cycle, from first conversation and RFQ through onboarding and account growth
Work closely with operations and carrier teams so new accounts are set up well and retained
Grow accounts by adding lanes, modes, and value-added services
Manage and develop your own book of business
About you
2+ years in freight brokerage, 3PL, or transportation sales with a proven record of winning new business
Strong understanding of FTL and/or LTL pricing, lanes, and how shippers buy
Confident prospecting by phone, email, LinkedIn, and in person
An existing shipper network or book of business is a strong advantage
Competitive, self-driven, and motivated by commission
