About the School

Belmont School is an independent specialist school providing education for boys aged 5–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated complex behaviours. The school operates as one community across two phases: a Primary Phase in Rossendale for students aged 5–11 and a Secondary Phase in Rawtenstall for students aged 11–18.

At Belmont, we provide a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment where every student is understood, supported and encouraged to succeed. Through small classes, personalised learning pathways and therapeutic support, we help students overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and resilience, and take pride in their achievements.

Our broad and ambitious curriculum provides opportunities for academic, vocational and creative development, alongside a strong focus on social development, independence and essential life skills. We work hard to nurture aspiration and equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make a positive contribution to society and achieve a successful future.

With provision across both the Primary and Secondary phases, Belmont offers a genuinely joined-up educational journey, supporting pupils from their earliest years through to adulthood.

The school is easily commutable from Rawtenstall, Bury, Burnley and the surrounding areas.

At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.

We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth year running.

Why Join Us?

We place students and vulnerable young adults at the heart of everything we do, so every day brings the satisfaction of making a real difference. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.

  • Life Assurance
  • Pension scheme with options to increase contributions
