The Role

• Install a variety of cables and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, and transformers.
• Perform cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment according to specifications.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide installations.
• Collaborate with shipbuilding teams to ensure efficient and timely completion of electrical work.
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards throughout the installation process.
• Work as part of a skilled crew responsible for the power and control systems of advanced naval vessels.

What You'll Need

• Completion of a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, with a SJIB card.
• Proven experience in marine installations or major industrial environments.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements.
• Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
• Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
• Proficiency in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components, and cable terminations to trade standards.
