Bench IT are looking for an experienced Amazon Connect Solutions Architect to lead the design and technical direction of CCaaS deployments for our clients. You'll own the end-to-end architecture, from discovery and solution design through to build handover, working closely with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and third-party integration partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery workshops to capture client contact centre requirements and current-state pain points
• Design the target-state Amazon Connect architecture, including contact flows, routing profiles, queues, Lambda integrations, and CRM/telephony integrations
• Produce solution design documents, HLDs/LLDs, and architecture decision records
• Define the integration approach for third-party systems (Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow, WFM tools, CRM platforms)
• Provide technical governance across the build phase, ensuring delivery aligns to the agreed design
• Advise on AWS-native services relevant to the solution (Lex, Polly, Lambda, Kinesis, EventBridge, S3, CloudWatch)
• Support security and compliance reviews (data residency, PCI DSS where relevant to voice/payment flows)
• Act as technical escalation point for delivery and support teams during build and early-life support
• Contribute to client-facing proposals and SOWs where architecture input is required

Required Experience

• Experience in regulated sectors (financial services, public sector) where compliance and data residency are material
• Proven track record designing and delivering Amazon Connect solutions at scale (multiple end-to-end implementations)
• Strong understanding of contact centre concepts: IVR, ACD, skills-based routing, omnichannel (voice, chat, email, SMS)
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect Contact Flows, Lambda, Lex, and Connect APIs
• AWS architecture experience beyond Connect (VPC, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Experience integrating Connect with CRM and WFM platforms
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to translate business requirements into technical design
• Experience producing formal architecture documentation to a professional standard
