Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to join our team in Sydney on a contract basis for a duration of 6+ months, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data migration strategies to Snowflake from various legacy systems. This position is essential for enhancing our data architecture and ensuring seamless integration within our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data migration strategies to Snowflake from legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define data architecture.
  • Ensure data integrity and security during the migration process.
  • Optimise Snowflake performance and manage data storage solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data architecture and migration processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture and cloud solutions.
  • Proven experience in migrating data to Snowflake from legacy systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and data warehousing concepts.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure) are preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
