Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £42,000
Shift: Double Days (Monday – Friday 6-2/2-10)
Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer
A new opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer operating within a highly automated production environment. Supplying specialist products into highly regulated industries, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business investing in its people, equipment and long-term growth, offering a varied engineering role within a clean, technically advanced facility.
The Maintenance Engineer will carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production and process equipment, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Sector – Factory Maintenance
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
- Experience within a manufacturing or automated production environment.
- Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Ability to fault find on manufacturing and automated machinery.
- Experience working with motors, sensors, drives and control systems.
- Ability to work alongside production teams, quality departments and external contractors.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced production environment.
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- PLC fault finding experience.
- Experience within food, pharmaceutical, medical or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to packaging, process or laboratory-based manufacturing equipment.
- Multi-skilled engineering background.
