Job Description

Revature is hiring experienced data engineers to join a large-scale Databricks platform build supporting federal government programs in the Washington, DC area. Our client is one of the world’s largest technology and consulting firms.

This is not a bootcamp and it is not unpaid. You join Revature as a full-time W-2 employee with full benefits on day one. We invest in ten weeks of full-time Databricks specialization at our cost, cover your certification exams, and then deploy you to the client engagement.

How the role works

  • Weeks 1-10: full-time paid Databricks training, delivered remotely. You are a paid, full-time Revature employee with full benefits throughout. No cost to you and no repayment obligation.
  • You earn the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate and Professional certifications during the program. Revature covers the exam costs.
  • On completion you deploy on-site with the client in the DC metro area. You remain a full-time Revature employee, working as part of the client team.
  • This is a long-term client engagement. Over time there may be an opportunity for the client to hire you directly. That is a possible long-term outcome, not a guaranteed or near-term one.
  • Training is expected to begin in late September 2026, with deployment around December 2026.

What we offer

  • Competitive pay from day one of training. Compensation is discussed early in the process.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • All Databricks training and certification costs covered by Revature

What you need

  • 4-7 years of hands-on data engineering experience
  • Experience delivering multiple production-grade cloud data platform implementations
  • Advanced Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark with some exposure to Databricks
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, change data capture, streaming, governance, and performance optimization
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment strategies
  • Experience contributing to solution design and architectural decisions
  • Experience leading technical implementation activities and/or mentoring engineers
  • At least one Associate-level or higher AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform certification
  • Able to work on-site in the Washington, DC metro area from the start of the client engagement, approximately December 2026. Candidates relocating to the DC area are welcome to apply.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction. This position supports a client engagement subject to a background investigation.

Nice to have

  • Delta Lake or Lakehouse experience
  • Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery experience
  • Docker or Kubernetes exposure
  • Working knowledge of Terraform or infrastructure as code
