Network Engineer with Cisco NG ASA

Emphasis is on Cisco NG ASAs, CheckPoint would be a plus. I need people that can build it, deploy it, and run it

Cisco FTD (firewall threat defense)

Cisco FMC (Cisco Secure firewall management center)

SALARY: $130k - $140k plus 15% bonus

LOCATION: CHICAGO, IL

Hybrid 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

What You'll Do:

This role is responsible for supporting, administering, and overseeing network support, design, and analysis of new and existing architectures — including routing/switching configuration, Cisco FTD firewall administration, Cisco ACI management, and network-related business continuity planning. The role also involves developing systems specifications, technical implementation plans, and coordinating complex installation projects with clients and vendors, while working with a team on network and security architecture design for both on-premise and Cloud environments

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Strong foundation in Network protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) and concepts (WAN/LAN/IP/VPN/IPAM/DNS)
• Advanced experience with Cisco network products, including lifecycle management (deployment, upgrades, and ongoing support) of IOS, NX-OS, XR, and FTD platforms
• Strong network troubleshooting skills to support day-to-day operations, including packet capture, analysis, and review.
• Experience supporting cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure) within a hybrid infrastructure environment

• 5+ years of experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers / cloud systems
