Project Manager - Building and Construction

Our client has an opportunity for a Building and Construction Project Manager to join them on a contract for 12 months with possible extension. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong client-side construction project management experience, thrives in a fast paced setting, and enjoys leading projects from initial concept through to successful handover. Role: Building and Construction Project Manager<br />Location: Belfast - fully onsite<br />Hours: 36 per week<br />Clearance: BPSS required before starting<br />Hourly Rate: £40.44 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

What you'll be doing:

Accountable for the delivery of identified capital projects, focusing on budget, schedule, and quality output in line with Airbus business needs.<br />Managing budgets, controlling expenditure, and ensuring resources are used efficiently.<br />Drive the management of project design development across the complete delivery lifecycle, including Design &amp; Build stage to meet demanding deadlines.<br />Manage directly and liaise with others in the management of stakeholders to ensure project timescales are met in line with internal governance and procedures.<br />Providing clear leadership and direction to ensure all stakeholders/multi-functional project teams (internal and external) are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.<br />Building positive working relationships across internal and external teams.<br />Procure, manage and direct a diverse range of consultant expertise across a multidisciplinary set of skills including, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural), Environmental, Archaeological and Fire.<br />Develop and maintain project delivery plans, CAPEX business cases, risk/opportunity registers, cash flow projections.<br />Identifying and managing risks, escalating issues where necessary, and implementing mitigation strategies.<br />Accountable for management of project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, ensuring consultant supervision where relevant and approving all payment certificates to external consultants and suppliers.<br />Responsible for the day-to-day management of construction service providers for capital projects, including conformance and compliance and proficient at escalating and managing any internal matters &amp; change to the correct internal stakeholder.<br />Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, compliant, and up?to?date.<br />Maintaining strong health &amp; safety standards throughout all project activities.<br />Accountable for supervision of the project close-out activities, including commissioning and handover.Essential

Requirements:

Possess a relevant third-level credential in engineering, design, or construction project management, or a or significant practical experience in construction/building services project management.<br />A minimum of 3 years' experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital construction projects.<br />Strong knowledge and experience of project management, contract management (i.e. through use of major contract forms, in particular NEC), strategic planning, methodologies and construction delivery best practice.<br />Strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle and processes.<br />Knowledge and experience of mobilising and managing the supply chain, including design services and construction works.<br />Foundation-level knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.<br />Excellent knowledge of Health &amp; Safety practices.<br />Experience in preparing and presenting comprehensive project reporting<br />If you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please apply!
