Key Responsibilities
- Craft and maintain detailed project and program schedules aligned with overarching master programs.
- Update and validate monthly master schedules with the Project Team.
- Review and validate contractor schedules against contractual norms and industry standards.
- Evaluate weekly/monthly schedule updates, draft executive narratives and present insights to leadership.
- Analyze time impacts, assess recovery schedules, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Employ Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) to monitor performance.
- Deliver monthly Schedule Variance Reports highlighting deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Identify scheduling risks early—propose innovative, practical solutions.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and align schedule data with real-world conditions.
- Develop cost-loaded schedules for accurate cash-flow forecasting; monitor actual vs. forecasted costs.
- Partner with the Lead Scheduler, Project Managers, and Engineers to update schedules collaboratively.
- Offer scheduling support across the project team as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–3 years of project scheduling experience (preferably in construction, public works, or educational projects) on sizable initiatives.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or equivalent) and Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of cost engineering, scheduling theory, CPM, and EVM.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, persuasive.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related; or equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Flexibility to work across multiple project sites; comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Preferred:
- Experience reviewing contract schedules for compliance.
- Familiarity with cost-loaded scheduling and financial forecast tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to lead schedule analysis and present findings to senior leadership.
