Vega is hiring! MDM Specialist with SAP S4/Hana experience for a one year + Project with our direct client. Seeking candidates that live within a commutable distance to Parsippany, N.J. This position is based in our Clients, Parsippany, NJ corporate headquarters, which currently operates on a hybrid in-office schedule. Though employees are welcome to work in the office on Friday, this position will require candidates work onsite Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely from home on Friday.

Master Data Specialist, SAP S/4HANA

The Master Data Specialist, SAP S/4HANA will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our data systems. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of master data across our enterprise systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance policies, data quality initiatives, and master data management processes. Your efforts will support the strategic objectives of the organization by enhancing data reliability and facilitating data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manages vendor creation and updates across multiple business entities, including validating documentation (W-9, W8, ACH, Wire, EFT forms), duplicate checking (TIN, company name, address), and TrustPair banking validation system.
• Initiates Coupa Link Invitations post-vendor setup by compiling vendor summaries and contact details.
• Executes Ariba SLP Vendor Processing upon receiving new vendor notifications and managing banking verification approvals.
• Performs banking verification phone calls for ACH, Wire, and EFT details, confirming account information directly with vendor accounts receivable, documenting correspondence, and updating master records.
• Maintains and updates SmartSheet tracking tabs (e.g., Vendor Call logs) for vendors requiring secondary follow-up.
• Manages vendor data approvals and modifications in a SAP master data governance tool.
• Understands business requirements and translates them into business rules to assist with configuring master data, workflows, and integration processes to effectively support the creation and ongoing maintenance of master data.
• Gains awareness of requirements for our data strategy, the data governance councils, and the design and maintenance of Master Data Management applications.
• Learns to analyze business processes to determine data quality root cause.
• Seeks opportunities to provide data consulting in support of business and departmental objectives.
• Uses a systematic approach and helps develop MDM process efficiencies.

<>Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree required (preferred)
• SAP ECC or S/4HANA experience, primarily Business Partner Management
• 1+ years of experience in a Vendor/ Supplier/ Business Data environment required
• Must have outstanding phone skills
• Must have strong Excel and Google Sheets experience
• Must have Procure-to-Pay experience of master data management. Must know vendor onboarding, invoice orders, purchase orders, source-to-pay.

• Knowledge of computerized data systems and Excel spreadsheets
• Analytical and statistical knowledge
• MDM, Data Governance, and Data Quality Acumen
