As a Human Resources Generalist, you serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers by supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, leave management, and regulatory compliance. This role provides guidance on workplace policies and employment practices, conducts employee investigations, assists with corrective action and performance documentation, and helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, supporting organizational objectives, and delivering responsive, professional HR services to employees of the organization.

Work Site Locations

Tulsa, OK based, providing HR support and oversight for Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Pryor, and Stillwater operations.

Auto-Allowance

$500.00 / monthly
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Travel:
Travel expectations vary by branch, with daily visits to client sites within the market. Your Responsibilities as a Human Resources Generalist - Oklahoma
Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts and fill open positions. Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience. Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee retention initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters.

Conduct confidential workplace investigations involving complaints, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations, and other workplace concerns. Support performance management processes, including coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations. Administer and track leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, personal leave, and workers' compensation-related absences. Develop and deliver employee and leadership training programs. Coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Interpret and apply HR policies consistently across the organization. Conduct audits of personnel files, I-9 documentation, employee records, and HR processes. Assist with unemployment claims, workers' compensation matters, accommodations, leave administration, and agency responses. Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and documentation. Support HRIS maintenance, reporting, and data integrity. Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Support special HR projects and organizational initiatives as assigned. High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced, human resources environment. Strong experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, and employment law compliance. Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, and performance management. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgment.

Experience working in HRIS and time/attendance systems. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Skilled in onboarding, employee documentation, background checks, benefits communication, and HR compliance reporting. Provides excellent customer service to employees, applicants, and branch staff. Proficient with HRIS/ATS platforms, ensuring accurate records, clean data, and compliant workflows.
