Sr. Microsoft Cloud Engineer
Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This senior technical subject matter expert position is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, advancement, and ongoing support of Microsoft 365 cloud services across the organization. While the scope covers the broader Microsoft ecosystem, this position carries a mission-critical responsibility for advanced SharePoint Online engineering and custom solution development. The engineer provides authoritative platform leadership in SharePoint engineering, information governance, compliance engineering using Microsoft Purview, and business process automation through the Power Platform. Operating with technical authority, the role establishes architectural standards, evaluates emerging technologies, and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable Microsoft cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise for system administration, troubleshooting, new feature evaluation, and ongoing platform growth across Microsoft 365 cloud services.
• Perform design, configuration, optimization, and lifecycle administration of Microsoft 365 services following industry standards and security requirements.
• Develop architectural standards, governance models, operational processes, and technical documentation for the Microsoft 365 platform.
• Design, develop, and implement modern SharePoint solutions, including advanced lists, pages, workflows, metadata structures, and integrations.
• Collaborate with business units to translate operational requirements into scalable SharePoint Online and Power Platform solutions.
• Design, implement, and administer Microsoft Purview information protection, data classification strategies, sensitivity labels, retention policies, and Data Loss Prevention controls.
• Create workflow automation and business process improvement solutions utilizing Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Support the adoption and governance of emerging Microsoft AI capabilities, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and related integrations.
• Develop advanced PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and technical certifications.
Experience: Seven or more years of relevant experience engineering and administering Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
Technical Skills: Deep expertise in modern SharePoint Online architecture, Power Platform development (Power Automate and Power Apps), Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication, and advanced PowerShell scripting.

• Proven ability to independently research, design, and implement complex cloud architectures.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders and leadership.
• Demonstrated track record of managing multiple activities with varying priorities to ensure accurate and timely results.

Work Environment
This position requires a hybrid work schedule. The chosen candidate must work onsite in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania office at least one day per week.
