We are looking for RDJ Axway Support Engineer for our client in Montreal, QC

Job Title: RDJ Axway Support Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Strong working knowledge of Axway RDJ architecture, rule configuration, transformation logic, and accounting hub administration.
  • Expert-level Linux shell scripting for managing automated data pipelines, file handling, and batch operations.
  • Advanced Oracle PL/SQL proficiency, including writing complex queries, packages, stored procedures, and debugging relational database layers.
  • Foundational to intermediate Pro*C skills for troubleshooting, updating, and supporting embedded SQL C-programs.
  • Strong understanding of banking data files (e.g., flat files, XML, CSV) containing high-volume financial accounting movements, debits, and credits.
  • Practical experience dealing with data ingestion, translation schemas, and transformation rules within an enterprise financial accounting integration layer.
  • Proven familiarity with standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, change control procedures, and daily operational proficiency with Jira.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized support for the Axway RDJ financial accounting hub.
  • Maintain, update, and validate accounting translation rules and data integration maps.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to inbound and outbound banking files containing accounting movements.
  • Identify and isolate anomalies in non-balancing accounts.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain robust Linux shell scripts to manage background file processing, scheduling, and error handling.
  • Optimize and debug backend processing components using Oracle PL/SQL and maintain legacy batch code written in Pro*C.
  • Perform impact analysis for mapping updates or platform migrations.
  • Map transaction flows accurately to standard GL lines and COA guidelines.
  • Provide clear effort estimates for development and unit testing cycles.
  • Execute unit and integration testing protocols for interface configurations.
  • Create, submit, and track change requests (CR) following corporate SDLC compliance guidelines.
  • Maintain real-time task tracking in Jira.
  • Provide daily progress updates to management and adhere strictly to data policies and security compliance requirements.

Nice to Have:

  • Solid functional understanding of General Ledger (GL) systems, Balance Sheet accounts, non-balancing account entries, and Chart of Accounts (COA) framework concepts.
