Title: AI Solution Architect (SAP AI/Generative AI)

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid) 3 days/week to office 2 days remote

Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Solution Architect to drive AI innovation and business transformation within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA modernization program. This role will be responsible for defining the AI vision, identifying business opportunities, architecting scalable AI solutions, and enabling enterprise adoption of AI technologies across SAP and non-SAP platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Joule, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Generative AI solutions. This individual will partner with executive leadership, business process owners, SAP functional teams, and cloud engineering organizations to deliver AI-driven capabilities that improve productivity, automate business processes, and accelerate decision-making. This is a strategic and hands-on architecture role requiring a strong understanding of SAP business processes, enterprise AI platforms, cloud technologies, data architecture, governance, and responsible AI practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the enterprise AI strategy supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-value AI and Generative AI use cases across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Human Resources, and Customer Operations.
• Develop AI transformation roadmaps, business cases, value realization frameworks, and executive-level presentations.
• Architect enterprise AI solutions leveraging SAP Joule, Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Azure OpenAI, and SAP BTP AI services.
• Design AI-enabled business workflows that integrate with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, and other enterprise applications.
• Lead the design and implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise knowledge management, intelligent document processing, and AI-driven automation solutions.
• Define enterprise data architecture strategies involving vector databases, data pipelines, structured and unstructured data, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with SAP functional, Integration, Data Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless AI integration.
• Establish AI governance standards covering Responsible AI, security, compliance, model management, explainability, and risk mitigation.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Drive organizational AI adoption through stakeholder engagement, training strategies, and change management initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of work experience in technology solution engineering.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and functionality, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and AI/ML concepts.
• Hands-on expertise or strong familiarity with SAP Joule, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and their integration capabilities.
• Knowledge of big data technologies, vector databases, data pipelines, and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), alongside containerization tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas), Platform as a Service (Paas), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analysis.
• Exposure to Cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
• Awareness of AI security risks like prompt injection and data leakage and responsible AI/ethics principles

Preferred:

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation or modernization programs.
• Expertise with SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, SAP Joule, and SAP BTP AI Services.
• Experience with enterprise GenAI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or ChatGPT Enterprise.
• Relevant SAP, AI/ML, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform certifications.
