Java Full Stack AI -Solution Architect, Rate DOE, Location: Sunrise, FL, Onsite Project.

Seeking a Java Fullstack and AI Solution Architect to join GDM technology organization in Sunrise, FL. This role owns end-to-end solution architecture for disputes platform capabilities spanning backend services, front-end experiences, and the integration of Generative AI and intelligent automation into case management, chargeback, and representment workflows. The ideal candidate pairs deep, hands-on Java fullstack engineering expertise with the ability to design and champion AI-driven solutions at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end solution architecture for Global Disputes Management applications, spanning Java-based backend services, APIs, and modern front-end experiences.

Design and drive adoption of AI and Generative AI-powered solutions including intelligent case triage, automated evidence review, and agent-assist capabilities within the disputes and chargeback lifecycle.

Define target-state architecture, integration patterns, and technology roadmaps in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders.

Provide hands-on technical leadership across the full stack Java/Spring Boot services, REST APIs, front-end frameworks, data layers, and cloud-native deployment.

Evaluate and prototype emerging AI/ML platforms and frameworks, assessing fit for disputes management use cases and enterprise scalability, security, and compliance requirements.

Partner with Global Disputes Management business and technology leaders to translate case management, chargeback, and representment requirements into scalable technical designs.

Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices for fullstack and AI-enabled development within the disputes platform.

Mentor engineering teams on fullstack development practices, AI solution design, and responsible AI implementation.

Support performance, scalability, security, and resiliency reviews for production disputes systems.

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring / Spring Boot, and microservices-based architecture.

Proven fullstack development background, including REST API design, front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React), and relational/NoSQL data stores.

Demonstrated experience architecting or implementing AI / Generative AI solutions in an enterprise production environment.

Experience with cloud-native application design and deployment (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes/containerization).

Strong understanding of solution architecture practices integration design, API ecosystems, data flow, and scalability/performance considerations.

Ability to communicate complex technical designs clearly to both engineering teams and business stakeholders.

Prior American Express experience, or experience in a global financial services / payments enterprise, strongly preferred.
