The Role

• Collaborate with finance and accounting directors to ensure timely and accurate recording of journal entries and transactions.
• Provide initial guidance and training to accounting staff on transaction recording and policies.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks for assigned communities, stepping in when necessary.
• Prepare daily cash account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify, resolve, and implement preventative controls for accounting issues.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, consolidations, and other reporting requirements.
• Support budget, forecasting, and audit processes.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven ability to manage daily tasks and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Experience with month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Familiarity with budget and forecasting processes is a plus.
