Scrum Master-P&C Insurance domain

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain knowledge and a PMP certification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile/Scrum processes, removing delivery impediments, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of insurance technology projects.

The candidate should have hands-on experience working with P&C insurance products, claims, underwriting, policy administration, billing, or related insurance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams.
• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, Architects, and business stakeholders.
• Remove impediments and proactively address risks and dependencies impacting sprint or project delivery.
• Track sprint progress, velocity, burndown, and other Agile metrics.
• Coach teams on Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support project planning, scheduling, risk management, issue tracking, and delivery governance.
• Apply PMP/project management practices where appropriate to support successful delivery.
• Ensure Agile delivery aligns with organizational processes, standards, and business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve team productivity, quality, and delivery predictability.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of overall IT experience
• 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
• Strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• PMP certification – Mandatory
• P&C Insurance domain experience – Mandatory
• Experience managing cross-functional technology teams
• Strong knowledge of Agile ceremonies, Scrum framework, and Agile metrics
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools
• Strong communication, facilitation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, and project timelines
