Job Description

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Controls Technician to support our global cloud infrastructure. You will install, calibrate, and maintain building management and environmental control systems that power AWS data centers, ensuring uptime, efficiency, and safety. Responsibilities include troubleshooting control networks, interpreting wiring diagrams, executing change management, and partnering with capacity delivery teams on new builds and retrofits. You'll document work, analyze performance data, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain data center control and monitoring systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in BMS, PLCs, and control networks
  • Support capacity delivery for new data hall builds and retrofits
  • Monitor environmental and power systems to ensure uptime and efficiency
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and control sequences
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS tools
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and capacity planning teams
  • Document changes, incidents, and system configurations
  • Support testing, commissioning, and change management processes
  • Identify opportunities to optimize control strategies and system performance
