Position: Java Microservices Architect

Work Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Java Microservices Architect to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of our next-generation, high-performance distributed systems. In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery of scalable, highly available microservices running on enterprise-grade AWS infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and robust technical execution, leveraging modern event-driven architectures, container orchestration, and low-latency communication frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Design: Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure enterprise microservices using modern Java technologies and frameworks.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and manage cloud-native deployments on AWS, optimizing systems for maximum performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Event-Driven Ecosystems: Establish robust streaming data pipelines and asynchronous communication paradigms between services using Apache Kafka.
  • Container Orchestration: Define deployment strategies, configuration management, and automated scaling policies inside Kubernetes ecosystems.

Qualifications & Primary Skills (Must Have):

  • 12 15 years of solid experience in software development within the IT industry, with a progressive track record of scaling production environments.
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Deep mastery of Core Java (8+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
  • Proven expertise in Microservices Architecture, RESTful API Design.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services.

Preferred skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (partitioning strategies, consumer groups, event streaming).
  • Heavy exposure to Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) for orchestration and cluster management.
  • Practical experience utilizing gRPC and Protocol Buffers for high-throughput, low-latency inter-service communication.
