OCM- Organisational Change Management (IT)

Role

The project involves upgrading the client's existing legacy SAP ECC environment, currently running on a DB2 database, to SAP S/4 HANA.  This is an enterprise-wide transformation involving multiple workstreams, including HR, Finance & Treasury, Technology, and other impacted business and IT functions.

For your OCM/OCE preparation, please focus on the following areas:

1. SAP ECC to S/4HANA Transformation: Change impact assessment covering changes to the existing SAP environment, business processes, user roles, workflows, and ways of working resulting from the migration to S/4 HANA.  How does SAP, being the central system of client, can impact the business teams and how can we make it a smooth transition.
2. Business and Functional Workstreams: Prepare examples of OCM activities supporting Finance & Treasury, HR, and other enterprise functions. For each stream, consider stakeholder mapping, process and role impacts, training requirements, readiness assessments, and post-go-live adoption.
3. Technology, Data & Application Integrations: Consider the organizational impacts of the underlying technology transition from ECC/DB2 to S/4 HANA, including data migration, reporting and analytics, connected applications, interfaces, and downstream/upstream system dependencies, as applicable to the project scope.
4. End-to-End OCM/OCE Delivery: Prepare a practical approach covering stakeholder engagement, change impact assessments, leadership alignment, change communications, training strategy, change champion networks, organizational readiness, go-live support, adoption metrics, and post-implementation reinforcement across multiple workstreams.

Please keep the material focused on how you would plan and execute OCM/OCE activities for a complex, multi-workstream SAP transformation, rather than on SAP technical implementation alone.  Specific scope details will need to be validated with the project team.
