Business Analyst

An NHS Trust is seeking a Business Analyst for a 6 month initial contract. The Business Analyst will support the Innovation Hub in discovering, assessing, designing and delivering technologies for pilot within the Trust.

The role will provide structured analysis across the application development lifecycle: defining needs, evaluating opportunities, managing requirements, completing cyber security and Information Governance due diligence, and aligning solutions with operational benefits and the NHS Trust Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities Establish a clear understanding of business problems, user needs, opportunities and desired outcomes.<br />Elicit, analyse, document, validate and manage requirements.<br />Assess technologies for strategic fit, feasibility, value, risk, operational impact and readiness.<br />Complete proportionate information governance, data protection, cyber security, clinical, technical, commercial and organisational due diligence.<br />Define current and future processes and identify improvement opportunities for service improvement and process redesign.<br />Build effective relationships across the organisation, including with senior management.

Key Deliverables Discovery brief, problem statement and agreed scope.<br />Stakeholder map and engagement plan.<br />Prioritised requirements catalogue or specification, traceable to business objectives.<br />Current and future process maps with supporting analysis.<br />Options appraisal, feasibility assessment or recommendation.<br />Due diligence and assurance tracker covering evidence, risks, actions and approvals.<br />Data-flow documentation and information requirements.<br />Business impact assessment, benefits and measurable success criteria.<br />User stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and support for testing, where applicable.<br />Decision, risk, issue, action and dependency logs, with progress and executive updates.<br />Handover materials and lessons learned for each initiative.If you have experience as Business Analyst across application projects, please do get in touch
