Systems Engineer III

We are seeking a Systems Engineer III to support a 12-month initiative focused on building, integrating, and improving server environments across a large enterprise infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys coordinating complex builds, solving problems, and helping deliver reliable solutions across hybrid environments.
Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deliver server environments across multiple stages of implementation
• Support end-to-end infrastructure builds, including operating systems, tools, and supporting agents
• Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into practical build and integration solutions
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to complete technical tasks and keep build activities moving forward
• Help define and improve build patterns, configuration steps, and onboarding details for the environment
• Monitor progress across multiple server builds and help ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery
• Support hybrid infrastructure efforts, including coordination between on-premises environments and data centers
• Document status updates and communicate progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to automation, workflow improvement, and operational efficiency using enterprise tools

Skills

• Experience building servers or infrastructure environments end to end
• Strong understanding of infrastructure stacks, including operating systems, tools, and agents
• Ability to coordinate with technical experts and drive work to completion
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience managing multiple builds or implementation efforts at once
• Clear communication skills and the ability to share updates with different audiences
• Ability to work in a hands-on technical role while supporting broader project goals
• Experience with enterprise systems and structured change or workflow processes

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM AIX, Linux, WebSphere, Oracle, or Windows environments
• Exposure to monitoring or observability tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace
• Familiarity with ServiceNow workflows
• Background supporting hybrid infrastructure or large-scale migration efforts
• Experience working in environments with security and compliance requirements
• Ability to provide clear status reporting and summary updates for leadership
• Previous experience mentoring or guiding engineers through technical tasks
