Java API Engineer

JD: API Gateway/Platform Engineer

Location : Wilmington, DE (Onsite)

• 8-10 years of experience in platform engineering, backend development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for building microservices
• Experience designing and deploying RESTful APIs
• Practical experience with OAuth2/OIDC authorization frameworks 
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing APIs through API Gateway solutions (AWS API Gateway, Kong, Apigee, or similar)
• Experience running and operating workloads on Kubernetes, ideally Amazon EKS
• Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with AWS
• Understanding of API security best practices (OAuth2)
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Nice to have - knowledge of Akamai GTM
