Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Supplier Quality Engineer with strong expertise in casting and machining processes, particularly aluminum castings. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, frequent onsite visits, and active involvement in resolving quality issues related to both current production and new product development. The position also requires strong supplier quality management, structured problem-solving, and the ability to provide practical shop-floor-level solutions to suppliers.

Key Skills

  • Supplier quality management, supplier audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Aluminum casting processes including HPDC and LPDC, with knowledge of sand casting and high-pressure casting
  • Machining of engineered components, manufacturing processes, and quality management systems
  • APQP, PPAP, engineering change management, CAPA, and structured problem-solving methodologies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 7 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, operations, or quality engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience in casting processes, including aluminum HPDC and LPDC
  • Proven experience in supplier quality management and structured problem-solving methodologies

Additional Skills

  • Experience supporting new product development and addressing launch and ramp-up quality concerns
  • Ability to provide hands-on support to suppliers and practical, shop-floor-level solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as a technical interface between suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teams
  • Highly energetic, proactive, and results-oriented mindset with willingness and flexibility to undertake frequent travel to supplier locations within and outside the USA
