AWS Cloud Solutions Architect II

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks an AMS Cloud Architect II to design, implement, and optimize secure, highly available AWS Managed Services solutions. You will lead customers through cloud architecture reviews, migration planning, and modernization initiatives, leveraging services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation/Terraform. Partner with cross-functional teams to automate operations, improve reliability, and ensure compliance, cost optimization, and observability. You'll mentor engineers, contribute to best practices, and thrive in AWS's customer-obsessed, data-driven, and high-ownership culture while solving complex, global-scale challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable architectures on AWS Managed Services
• Lead architecture reviews, migration strategies, and modernization roadmaps for customers
• Automate infrastructure and operations using Cloud
• Formation/Terraform and related tools
• Optimize reliability, performance, and cost across customer cloud environments
• Ensure compliance, security, and observability best practices are applied
• Collaborate with cross-functional AWS teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis
• Document architectures, runbooks, and best practices for internal and customer use
• Mentor engineers and share cloud architecture expertise across teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AMS offerings and technical standards
