Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer to support Repair Engineering activities. The role involves conducting comprehensive structural integrity assessments to ensure aircraft repairs comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural analysis, fatigue & fracture mechanics, and aerospace engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review & Analyze Inputs: Evaluate Airbus-provided data, including damage details and repair solutions.
- Damage Identification: Locate and map damage within aircraft structural drawings.
- Crack Growth Assessment: Identify potential crack propagation scenarios and their structural implications.
- Structural Impact Analysis: Assess the effect of damage and repairs on Structural Significant Items (SSIs) and Principal Structural Elements (PSEs).
- Section Property Calculations: Determine section properties at damage locations to support analysis.
- Residual Strength Analysis: Conduct residual strength evaluations to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements. Crack Growth Analysis: Perform crack propagation analysis using tools.
- Inspection Planning: Define inspection thresholds, repeat intervals, and appropriate inspection methods to ensure long-term structural integrity.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of fatigue and fracture mechanics.
- Experience with Damage Tolerance Analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with Airbus structural analysis processes.
- Hands-on experience with analysis tools.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex structural problems and propose effective solutions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of FAA/EASA certification requirements for structural repairs.
- Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on Airbus aircraft structures.
- Prior exposure to repair and maintenance engineering in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in additional structural analysis tools.
