Production Engineer - Blockchain Infrastructure

Location: Sydney CBD

Are you passionate about blockchain technology and eager to work at the cutting edge of financial markets? Join a leading global proprietary trading firm as a Production Engineer on our innovative Production Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain sophisticated blockchain validator infrastructure and tooling that powers high-frequency trading across traditional and crypto markets worldwide. You'll collaborate with talented engineers globally to solve complex technical challenges involving consensus algorithms, distributed systems, and cryptography.

What you'll do:

• Own and operate on-chain infrastructure, including validators, light clients, and RPC nodes.
• Develop and improve monitoring and alerting systems for rapid issue detection and resolution.
• Experiment with emerging blockchain technologies and keep up with ecosystem developments.
• Enhance infrastructure security via key management, server hardening, and intrusion detection.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize performance and reliability.
• Participate in technical communities and knowledge sharing.

What we're looking for:

• Strong passion for blockchain and a keen desire to learn new technologies.
• Experience managing proof-of-stake blockchain infrastructure (Solana/Ethereum preferred).
• Solid expertise with Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and cloud/bare-metal environments.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Salt.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining complex systems.
• Proficiency in bash scripting plus at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Rust).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flat team structure, managing competing priorities reliably.
