Role – SAP S4 HANA BRIM Consultant
Role Description
Serve as the primary functional consultant for SAP S/4HANA BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) in an Application Management Services (AMS) engagement. Own steady-state support, incident and problem resolution, minor enhancements, and continuous improvement across subscription management, charging, billing, invoicing, and receivables processes, ensuring stable operations, business continuity, and SLA performance.
Key Responsibilities (AMS-Focused)

• Provide L2/L3 functional support for SAP BRIM (incidents, service requests, problems, changes) aligned to ITIL/AMS governance.
• Perform triage and root cause analysis for billing, charging, invoicing, subscription, and receivables-related issues.
• Support and configure end-to-end BRIM processes:
  • Primarily Convergent Mediation (CM) and usage data processing where applicable.
  • Subscription Order Management (SOM) including subscription lifecycle management.
  • Convergent Charging (CC) for usage-based and recurring charging scenarios.
  • Convergent Invoicing (CI) including billable item processing, invoicing, and bill generation.
  • Contract Accounting and Receivables Management (FI-CA) including collections, disputes, payment allocation, and account maintenance.
  • Convergent Mediation (CM) and usage data processing where applicable.
  • Revenue and order-to-cash processing integration with SAP S/4HANA.
• Manage minor enhancements and configuration changes including pricing, charging plans, invoicing rules, business partner setup, account determination, and collections processes.
• Support monitoring and controls including billing jobs, invoicing runs, charging processes, interface monitoring, reconciliation activities, and operational KPIs.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across BRIM, S/4HANA Finance, SAP SD, SAP BTP, middleware, and external subscription platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders, finance teams, customer service teams, and IT teams to refine requirements, prioritize backlog, and deliver continuous improvements.
• Support release management activities including impact assessments, regression testing, UAT support, deployment validation, and hypercare.
• Maintain support artifacts including runbooks, SOPs, process flows, functional specifications, knowledge articles, and KT documentation.

• Ability to translate business and production support issues into actionable requirements for technical teams (ABAP, Fiori, Integration, BTP, APIs).
• Experience with BRIM batch job monitoring, interface troubleshooting, reconciliation processes, and performance optimization.
• Experience supporting testing activities including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in a fast-paced support environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting SLA commitments.

• Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience in BRIM including:
  • Subscription Order Management (SOM)
  • Convergent Charging (CC)
  • Convergent Invoicing (CI)
  • Contract Accounting and Receivables Management (FI-CA)
  • Convergent Mediation (CM)
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Subscription-to-Cash (S2C) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
• Experience supporting integration touchpoints with:
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO)
  • SAP SD
  • SAP BTP
  • Middleware and API-based integrations
  • External subscription and billing platforms
• Experience working in an AMS model with SLA-driven ticketing using ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools.
• Strong experience in incident management, problem management, and structured RCA processes.
• SLA attainment and timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Reduction in recurring production issues through effective root cause analysis.
• High-quality enhancement deliveries with low defect leakage.
• Improved billing accuracy, invoice processing efficiency, and revenue operations stability.
• Increased stakeholder satisfaction and measurable business process improvements.
• Well-maintained knowledge base and support documentation.

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of SAP experience with significant experience in SAP BRIM.
• Experience supporting SAP BRIM in production and AMS environments.
• Strong understanding of billing, subscription, finance, and revenue management processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.

• SAP BRIM certification.
• Experience with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, APIs, and event-driven integrations.
• Exposure to subscription-based business models, healthcare, life sciences, telecommunications, or high-tech industries.
• Knowledge of cloud subscription management and digital commerce platforms.
• ITIL certification.
