Job Description

Mayo Clinic seeks a detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to support Human Resources & Talent Management in our Healthcare & Medical Services environment. You will coordinate scheduling, manage staffing requests, maintain accurate workforce data, and support recruitment logistics to ensure optimal coverage for patient care. Partner with leaders to track staffing needs, prepare reports, and align resources with operational demands. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage across assigned clinical and non-clinical units
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, clinical operations, and HR partners to align staffing with patient volumes and care standards
  • Support recruitment processes by posting requisitions, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews
  • Maintain accurate employee and position data in ATS and HRIS systems
  • Assist with onboarding logistics and ensure new hires meet credentialing and compliance requirements
  • Monitor and report on use of overtime, floating staff, and contingent resources, recommending adjustments as needed
  • Respond to real-time staffing changes, including call-offs and census fluctuations, while upholding policies and agreements
  • Generate and analyze staffing and workforce reports to identify trends and support proactive planning
  • Provide timely, professional communication and support to managers, employees, and candidates
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives within staffing, scheduling, and talent management
