Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.
In the Automotive Engineering Laboratory, we are now looking for a:
Chief Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics Controls (m/f/d)
We are seeking a Chief Engineer in Intelligent Vehicle Dynamics to enhance driving safety, stability, and overall vehicle performance.
The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of experience in leading technical teams, along with a deep expertise in vehicle dynamics—including advanced control architectures utilizing modern x-by-wire systems and next-generation sensors.
The team focuses on emerging technology trends and architectures within intelligent vehicle dynamics. In this multidisciplinary role, you will collaborate closely with our global research and development community
Your mission
Lead research and development projects focusing on advanced control architectures (e.g., collaborative, domain, and AI control), new x-by-wire actuators, and novel sensors to continuously enhance the core competitiveness of autonomous and electric vehicles.
Generate insights into new vehicle and chassis hardware/software technologies, author reports on the current industry state and trends, and develop mid-to-long-term technology roadmaps.
Build academic and industry cooperation within Europe and fully leverage the advantages of the vehicle dynamics expertise in the German automotive industry.
Work with HQ executives to drive the vehicle performance strategy, strengthening and highlighting the importance of intelligent vehicle control across the organization.
Be responsible for daily team management, including employees' long-term development, team building, and project management.
Your profile
A Master’s or higher degree in Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field, with a specialization in vehicle dynamics or control theory.
15+ years of experience in developing control systems for vehicle dynamics or related automotive systems.
A proven track record of technical leadership and engineering management, with a history of successful delivery and launched programs.
Excellent communication and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver on commitments under pressure and tight deadlines.
A team player who thrives in an international environment. Fluent communication skills in English are essential.
Willingness and availability to travel to China (approximately 20% of the time).
