Manufacturing Project Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Project Engineer to join a Global Engineering and Manufacturing organisation in Wolverhampton.

Due to continued growth, project wins and a strong order book, the business is looking to strengthen its Project Engineering team with the addition of a Manufacturing Project Engineer.

This Manufacturing Project Engineer role sits at the heart of project delivery, acting as the link between Project Management and Manufacturing Operations.

You'll be responsible for coordinating projects through fabrication, machining, assembly, testing and final delivery, ensuring programme, quality and customer requirements are achieved.

This is a highly visible, fast-paced role and would suit a proactive individual who enjoys driving projects forward, coordinating multiple stakeholders and being close to manufacturing operations.

The Manufacturing Project Engineer Role

• Coordinating engineering projects through manufacturing.
• Managing project schedules, programme updates and documentation.
• Coordinating testing, inspection and customer deliverables.
• Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
• Driving actions to ensure projects remain on track.
• Monitoring risks, bottlenecks and project progress.
• Supporting project reporting, cost control and change management.
• Acting as the key link between Project Management and production teams.

This is a specialist engineering and manufacturing facility delivering complex engineered products into highly regulated industries.

The business operates across:

• Fabrication
• Welding
• Machining
• Mechanical Assembly
• Inspection & Testing
• Heavy Engineering Projects

You'll spend significant time working alongside operational teams to ensure projects move efficiently through manufacture and are delivered on time.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Manufacturing Project Engineer, Project Engineer or similar.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong project coordination and planning skills.
• Experience managing documentation, schedules and project reporting.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Organised, resilient and delivery-focused.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining or assembly processes would be beneficial.

Salary & Benefits

Offering a salary of up to £53,000, alongside 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays, a competitive benefits package and genuine long-term career opportunities within a growing global engineering and manufacturing business.

Based in Wolverhampton and easily commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Dudley, Cannock, Telford, Stafford, Kidderminster and the wider West Midlands.
