Role Summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide hands on technical support to corporate users in a highly visible onsite environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, and end user issues while ensuring a positive support experience for employees across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, a customer first mindset, and the ability to effectively manage support requests in a team oriented environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to provide face to face support while resolving a variety of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot company hardware, software, and operating systems

• Configure, deploy, and upgrade desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related equipment

• Perform laptop imaging and workstation setup for new and existing employees

• Provide deskside support and technical assistance for hardware, software, and user related issues

• Administer DUO authentication requests, device changes, and account resets

• Provide encryption keys and assist users with security related access needs

• Manage and prioritize ServiceNow support tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation

• Document troubleshooting efforts, status updates, and resolutions within the ticketing system

• Install, configure, and support desktop applications and business software

• Perform asset management, inventory tracking, and equipment lifecycle activities

• Support Windows updates, system maintenance, and endpoint health initiatives

• Recommend hardware replacements and equipment purchases when appropriate

• Partner with fellow IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and deliver excellent end user support

Key Requirements

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

• 2+ years of Desktop Support, Help Desk, IT Support, or End User Support experience

• Experience supporting Windows operating systems, laptops, desktops, and common business applications

• Understanding of ticket management systems, incident tracking, triage, and escalation processes

• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, operating systems, and end user technologies

• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and professional face to face user support

• Experience working within a corporate environment and collaborative team based support structure

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple issues while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism

• Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 30 pounds as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ Certification

• Experience working within larger enterprise or corporate IT environments

• Experience utilizing ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms

• Familiarity with endpoint deployment, imaging, and asset management processes

• Experience supporting multifactor authentication solutions such as DUO

• Knowledge of desktop security, encryption, and endpoint support best practices
